The majority of participants were already well-versed in Bharatnatyam, and the expert instructors seamlessly integrated the traditional dance form with the dynamic and powerful movements of Kalaripayattu. The fusion not only expanded the girls’ dance repertoire but also contributed significantly to their overall physical well-being. The workshop revealed the holistic benefits of Kalaripayattu, emphasizing stretches, postures, and controlled movements that complemented Bharatnatyam’s grace.
